About Carlton Cares

“Creating Opportunities to Build a Caring Community”

Carlton Together Cares, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1998 as a grassroots based approach to serving critical needs in the greater Carlton and Yamhill areas.
In our mission of “Creating Opportunities to Build a Caring Community,” we focus on youth and civic services that target the ever-changing needs of our communities.

CTC has received many different grants over the past decade, from sources such as CPT, Family Resource Center, Youth Investment, Spirit Mountain Community Fund, OADAP, Fred Meyer Community Fund, and Drug-Free Communities grant that was put in to action by the Yamhill-Carlton Anti-Drug Coalition (YCAD).

Grants and funding change over the years, and our programs are adjusted accordingly based on need and budget allowances.  However, our volunteer base has remained the backbone of CTC and is the continuity that provides terrific services for our community.  In 2007/2008, 285 volunteers gave over 6,900 hours of their time to assist in our programs.

Guided by our Board of Directors and Members, CTC programs are designed in response to local needs. The majority of our focus is on serving youth and families programs and prevention services.
