Carlton Together Cares seeking a P/T Lead Preschool Teacher at our Learning for Life Preschool is located in Carlton, OR within YC Elementary School. Thank you for your interest in the Learning for Life Preschool Program. We are very excited to have a successful preschool in the small town of Carlton, Oregon. . The Learning For Life Preschool opened in Fall 2008 and we are located inside Carlton Elementary School. We look forward to many great years to come!
Educational Philosophy:
Our goal is to create pathways that lead children to develop positive attitudes toward themselves and toward everything associated with learning. We want to help build a creative foundation for a lifetime of learning. We help kids develop self-confidence; positive self-image; problem solving, social interaction, self-expression and good communication skills; creative expression; curiosity; persistence; initiative; and the ability to concentrate and organize.

Our tuition cost is much lower in comparison to other local preschool programs. Please understand that this is not a reflection on our program. The community members of Carlton continue to be generous in offering financial support to our program. As a result, we are able to offer a high quality preschool with low tuition.
Tuition for the Learning for Life Preschool is based on a daily rate. The total numbers of school days is counted and divided by 9 months. Regardless of how many school days there are in a specific month, the tuition remains the same.
Payment due: Preschool tuition is due, on or before the 5th day of each month.
Late Payments: Please make arrangements ahead of time if payment will be late. Otherwise, payments after the 5th will be considered late and will be charged a $15 late fee.
Returned checks: are subject to bank fees. Returned checks must be redeemed with cash or a cashier’s check within 24 hours of notification, or arrangements will be made to reprocess your check.
Payment Options: There are three tuition payment options.
1. 10% Discount (annual payment): Pay all tuition by September 1st and receive a 10% discount on tuition.
2. Pay tuition monthly by the 5th of each month.
The preschool follows the Y-C school district calendar. We do not have classes on Mondays and Fridays and as a result, throughout our preschool year we will have very few days with no school!
